The Mob vs. Kavanaugh

The Mob vs. Kavanaugh

"If you allow the wrong people to get into office, things could change... You don't hand matches to an arsonist, and you don't give power to an angry left-wing mob."

"I stand before you today on the heels of a tremendous victory for our nation, our people and our beloved Constitution." President Donald Trump

We could not have put it more succinctly and this is indeed a major victory for Conservatives in the USA with the US Senate confirming today Brett Kavanaugh as the 114th Supreme Court Justice. It was a narrow margin (50-48) and if you follow politics in America which in our opinion is far more interesting currently than our rather sad lot in New Zealand (we have a PM who is more interested in the photo-optics and showing off her baby than actually running the country effectively) then the last few weeks would have had you absolutely transfixed on the battle for the Supreme Court nomination.

Watching from afar the drama has been both spell-binding and truly awful. To say that much of it (if not all of it) was driven and orchestrated by the alt-democrats and their screaming left wing mob would be an understatement. As the drama unfolded and the absolute desperation by the left to destroy one man's reputation and have him answer to a trial by media without proof or evidence is both horrifying and shocking. Questions do indeed rise over the credibility of Ford and the others swept up in the rush and thirst for power and one does wonder why the issues of sexual assault were not raised many many years earlier.

Senator Dan Sullivan commented that he strongly believes those who commit sexual assault should be punished and make no mistake we categorically agree, but he also believes in the presumption of innocence. "We do not want a system of guilty until proven innocent in America," he said.

Kavanaugh because he was Trump's pick for the Supreme Court was always going to be targeted by the Democrats but no one expected them to stoop so low to gutter-level and be so base and despicable with their attack on the nominee. Make no mistake a new low has now been established in politics where the struggle for power was turned from judicial ideology into an angry melting pot of victim's rights, the presumption of innocence (or lack of in this case) and personal attacks, sparing no thought for the people involved on both sides and simply feeding the Democrats and the Mob's thirst for power, revenge and total annihilation of one's character.

They were allegations that Kavanaugh emphatically denied and transformed the battle into an all out war which has now only deepened the divide in the USA. No doubt the paid up protesters will stomp and shout all sorts of wrongdoing and injustice now that he has been confirmed but you can be sure the balance of power has now finally swung from Liberal to Conservative with Kavanaugh's nomination.

The Democrats have played a very very dangerous game and lost, it truly has shown them for who they are and what they are prepared to do.

Senator Lindsay Graham summed it up when he said to Democratic lawmakers, "What you want to do is destroy this guy's life, hold this seat open and hope you win in 2020. This is the most unethical sham since I've been in politics."

Turning to Kavanaugh he said, "You're looking for a fair process? You came to the wrong town at the wrong time, my friend. I can not imagine what you and your family have gone through."

(Speaking to the Democrats) "Boy you all want power, I hope you never get it."
