Power At All Costs - Simon O'Connor just found out that his intolerant party shoot their own.
If there was any evidence required that freedom of speech is well and truly under attack in this country you need to look no further than the National party's Tamaki MP, Simon O'Connor. No doubt he is waking up to the fact that his own party doesn't share his views on suicide and it is clearly obvious that if you have an opinion that doesn't wash with your party, then, you are going to take a hammering. Watching Bill English try and squash it to appease the media was appalling.
What you have here folks is an absolute mentality of "We want power at all costs", and, "we will do whatever it takes and sacrifice everything to get it".
Morality and values are not wanted in this game and if you stick your neck out like O'Connor did then they are going to shut you down.
What happened to the intolerant left (National, Labour, and all the other parties along with our own extreme left media) swallowing their own mantra and actually demonstrating tolerance for a change. Oh, hang on, being tolerant only applies when we agree with your opinion clearly.
If you actually have values and live by them the PC brigade are doing all they can to shut you up. The rapid decline of all that we hold dear and the values that our country were founded on are being stripped away all because simply not enough of us are standing up and taking them on. The continued assault on anyone who is not a socialist/communist/marxist or politically correct is gathering steam and mark my words if we don't do something about it you will be silenced forever.
We will tackle assisted suicide in another post but for now Simon O'Connor well done on having the guts to express your opinion and actually call Jacinda to account. Stick to your guns if only for the fact that you are actually entitled to your opinion and your right to voice it. While your own party deserted you, we salute you for taking another nail out of the PC coffin lid which is being rammed down on top of us.
For the record here is his post on facebook:
"It's strange that Jacinda is so concerned about youth suicide but is happy to encourage the suicide of the elderly, disabled, and sick. Perhaps she just values one group more than the others? Just saying #consistency #nosubstance #contradiction #worldsuicidepreventionday" Simon O'Connor
